The saxophonist, composer and orchestra leader Jesper Zeuthen became a professional musician in 1964, and has ever since led his own groups in various constellations.

In addition, Zeuthen has performed and recorded with an impressive range of Danish and international artists over the years, including Terry Riley, Don Cherry, Claus Bøje, Blue Sun, New Jungle Orchestra, Lone Kellerman, Johnny Dyani ”Witchdoctors Son”, Abdullah Ibrahim, Alfredo Do Nascimento, John Ravn, Napeleon Bright, Okay Temiz, Ole Nordenhof, Hamid Drake, Louis ” Chuim” Segueira, Henry Light Hoff, Kresten Osgood, Papi Arosamena, Peter Friis Nielsen, Marilyn Mazur, Carsten Dahl, Jakob Bro, Jacob Anderskov, Michala Østerggard, Bob Moses and Margaux Oswald.

On his new album, "GNIST", Zeuthen's ideas and compositions revolve around the analog spark of inspiration, and the album's 14 engrossing and at the same time curiously surprising compositions form the framework for wide-ranging terrific improvisations and heartfelt melodies from one of the most important voices in Danish jazz and his magnificent international sextet.
